Nico Laruina
Born in Italy, Nico Laruina showed a passion for music and art from an early age.
The Italian baritone studied in Italy and London and now works in Germany mainly with Christian Halseband and Felice Venanzoni on singing and repertoire.
Recent roles include Lescaut in Puccini's Manon Lescaut with Brent Opera (London), Colline in Puccini's Boheme and Angelotti in Puccini's Tosca with the Mediterranean Opera Festival (Italy), Figaro in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro at the Estate Theater in Prague, and Angelotti again Everybody Can Opera (London) and Leporello in Mozart's Don Giovanni at the Teatro Comunale in Vicenza. In July 2020 Nico will make his debut as Papageno in Mozart's Magic Flute and Dulcamara in Donizetti's Elisir D'amore.
Nico has worked and given masterclasses with some of the world's greatest musicians, including Kamal Khan, Felice Venanzoni, John Nardolillo, Jonathan Santagada, Leonardo Catalanotto, Nadine Benjamin, John Tomsinlon, Nelly Miricioiu, Benjamin Zander, Chris Crans and Stefano VignatÃ.
Nico splits between his passion for music and an international career as a manager in top companies such as L'ORÉAL, Reckitt Benckiser and Nestle.
