Romanian Mezzo Soprano, Maria Popa began studying violin at the age of 7 and realized her vocal gift at an early age. After high school she was accepted into the Academy of Music "Gheorghe Dima" in Cluj where she began to study voice.

Maria has been part of many vocal competitions including Neueimmen in Gütersloh, Germany after which she was engaged in the Opernstudio 2014-2016 with the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Her repertoire list includes roles such as Cherubino, Fenena, Dorabella, Rosina, Orlowsky.
