Meghan Behiel
Born in Calgary, Canada, pianist Meghan Behiel is known for her great musical versatility and musical empathy. Meghan's "unique expression" and "her great understanding of musical details" is perceived as a sought-after soloist and chamber musician (Berner Zeitung).
In addition to her solo activities, Meghan devotes herself intensively to chamber music, with a particular focus on song accompaniment.
In many master classes she deepened her studies in the field of song. She was especially influenced by her mentor Rudolf Jansen.
Furthermore, she has given concerts and worked with well-known Canadian artists such as Olivier Thouin, Yegor Dyachkov, Joathan Crow, Christie Reside and Anton Kuerti.
Meghan Behiel completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Calgary with her professor Marilyn Engle. Here she won numerous prizes and was awarded the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship.
Meghan completed her studies in Bern, Switzerland, in the class of Tomasz Herbut.
Here she passed the soloist diploma with distinction.
