Linus Weber
Linus Weber was born in Krefeld-Uerdingen and received his first cello lessons at the age of six. His extraordinary talent for playing the cello was recognized and encouraged early on.
After studying at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf, Linus Weber switched to Raphael Wallfisch's class in Winterthur / Zurich. He completed his studies with the concert exam at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theater in Leipzig.
Linus received further impulses from Peter Muller, Torleif Thedeen, Roel Dieltiens, Christian Giger, Aldo Parisot, Shauna Rolsten and Morten Zeuthen.
Linus Weber was a finalist at the Gaspar Cassado Competition in Spain and was awarded the Schmolz + Bickenbach Prize in the cello category. Linus convinces as a soloist with a beautiful sound, great tone and high musical expressiveness. Not least because of this, he is a valued chamber music partner of many high-class musicians, with whom he plays concert series in various formations at home and abroad.
