Yvonne Prentki
The soprano Yvonne Prentki received piano lessons from the age of 7 at the Hilden Music School, and when she was 14 she also received singing lessons from Anja Paulus. She studied music theater and singing education at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media with Prof. Gudrun Pelker. In addition to music theater, she is interested in songs and concert singing and she completed her studies in Justus Zeyen's song class. As an academist with the RIAS Chamber Choir, she gained valuable ensemble experience at the highest level.
She attended master classes with Jagna Sokorska-Kwika, Krisztina Laki, Peter Berne, Roman Trekel, Roberto Accurso, Ricardo Estrada and Helmut Deutsch.
During her studies she gained experience in a number of children's opera productions, including at the Opernloft Hamburg and the Theater Osnabrück (2011/12 season, Alcina for everyone from 8, role of Oberta). In the 2012/13 season Yvonne could be heard at the Osnabrück theater in the staged version of the oratorio “Daniel saved from the lion's den” by Telemann, and in the HMTM Hanover university production as Mme Fiorentino in Kurt Weill's “Street Scene”.
In 2014 Yvonne made her debut at the Hildesheim City Theater as Queen of the Night. In the 2014/15 season she also took over the role of Sidi in Friedrich Kuhlaus' opera “Lulu, or the Magic Flute” in a concert version. In the spring of 2015, Yvonne could be heard at the Opéra de Dijon as a bob in Viktor Ullmann's “The Emperor of Atlantis”. In the season 17/18 she is engaged at Theater Hof for “Das Traumspiel” by A. Reimann and as Morgana in Handel's “Alcina”.
Yvonne Prentki is a prizewinner of the Jugend Musiziert competition and in 2013 won the 2nd prize in the master's student category and two special prizes at the international Giulio Perotti competition in Ueckermünde.
In 2014 she was a scholarship holder of the Richard-Wagner Verband Hannover.
