The German-Japanese soprano Karen Bandelow was born in Hamburg. She studied classical singing and vocal pedagogy at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts and has sung on various opera stages, including the Semperoper Dresden, the Stuttgart State Theater, the National Theater in Pula, Croatia, the Cracow Opera, Poland. Karen Bandelow can be heard on CD (Naxos) in Rossini's "Mosé in Egitto". In addition to her work as a singing teacher in Düsseldorf, she dedicates herself to concert and lied singing.
