Monika Rydz
The Polish soprano Monika Rydz studied singing at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf with Sofia Bart and Prof. Konrad Jarnot. She appeared at Theater Krefeld / Mönchengladbach and as Despina (Mozart “Così fan tutte”) at the Teatro Poliziano in Montepulciano. As a concert soloist, she sang at the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival in Rostock, gave arias and song recitals at the Beethovenfest Bonn and in Bochum. At the International Competition of the Summer Academy 2013 of the Mozarteum Salzburg she won the audience award. Monika Rydz is a scholarship holder of the Yehudi Menuhin Verein (Live Music Now), the Richard Wagner Verband Düsseldorf, the Academia Vocalis Wörgl and the Friends and Supporters of the Robert Schumann University.
Since 2016/17 she was a member of the opera studio of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, where she worked as Papagena (Mozart "The Magic Flute"), Juliette Vermont (Lehár "The Count of Luxembourg"), Frasquita (Bizet "Carmen"), Sacerdotessa ( Verdi “Aida”), Barbarina (Mozart “Le nozze di Figaro”), 2nd niece (Britten “Peter Grimes”) and A Shepherdess / Die Fledermaus (Ravel “L'enfant et les sortilèges”).
As Ella Littlejohn (Reynolds "Geisterritter") Monika Rydz is guest again this season at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
