At the age of four, Maria Rudin began her musical career under the supervision of her father, the composer William Porras, by singing in large advertising productions in Costa Rica. This was followed by singing studies with Mary Peck and a visit to the Costa Rican Conservatory “Conservatorio de Castella”. In 2005 Maria Rudin was selected as one of the first scholarship holders for the “Jóvenes Cantantes MP” foundation. In 2011 she received her diploma from the “Conservatorio di Perugia” in Italy. Ms. Rudin has appeared in the Morlacchi Theater and sang as Lida in Verdi's “Bataglia di Legnano”. Further appearances in Italy followed, such as in Bassano in Teverina with the youth orchestra of the Santa Cecilia Academy.

She is currently doing her master's degree in singing and is a permanent member of the choir and the octet of the Capella Musicale in the Basilica of San Francesco in Assisi, with whom she participates as a soloist and chorister in international events such as the award of the Nobel Peace Prize.

2001 Prize Winner "Artista Revelación Juvenil" (Youth Artist Revelation) ACAM for CD "En Navidad y Año Nuevo" (At Christmas and New Years). 2013 Third Prize "Concorso Internazionale di Canto Riviera Etrusca", Piombino, Italy.

Probably the most notable quality of Ms. Rudin is her diverse repertoire of musical styles. Her repertoire ranges from baroque music and opera to Latin American music and jazz.
